Laos

From February to July, I taught at SpringBoard Education in Laos,
also the National IELTS test centre... I was in charge of the IELTS Preparation programme, which also involved conducting 'pre' and 'mock' tests before the real test.

The position at SpringBoard was incredibly valuable in terms of understanding test centre management and marketing. Unfortunately, this centre did not offer full-time employment, meaning a salary of $US1750 a month, while the Laos economy continued crashing, causing hardship everywhere. As with many people that work in ESL, Laos was never going to be a long-term stay.

With my experience in Laos, I moved on to Malaysia, offering quality IELTS marketing and management services to two different language centres in Kuala Lumpur.
